Hello, My name is Mike Wags – I am the author and creator of Pixelmoto. I wanted to attribute the word pixel into the name of my domain since it related to the art sculptures I am currently building, and plan on showcasing on my site eventually. “Pixel” is also one of those geeky terms that encompasses this websites’ theme as well as content. “Moto” is the Japanese word for “Origin” or “Original”, and I thought the two meshed rather well.
Currently, only this blog is up but I am working on developing the rest of Pixelmoto.com as my ideas for the site become clearer and more concise. In January 2007, I started a blog over at Blogger; the blog was not only designed for personal blogging, but a means for me to record various projects that I was working on. Some of these projects include Electrical Engineering, Computer Design and Construction, Multitouch Screen Research and Development, Art & Clothing Design, and Sculpting. Basically I want to be able to put my ideas down onto a website, without the limitations that Blogger imposed.
I am not a well-seasoned web designer, so working with wordpress, advanced PHP, and CSS are all still somewhat new to me even though I have a bit of experience messing with some PHP/CSS code in the past. As I try to learn how some of this stuff works, you will definitely see a difference in Pixelmoto’s layout, functionality, and design. This is all a learning process for me, and as always if you have any questions on any of my projects or this websites design; feel free to email me and I will gladly give you any answers that I have.
